Coordinator Support for Faculty


Class Assistance

  • Order class supplies (specific to your instructional needs)
  • Print class materials (syllabi, handouts, etc.)
  • Create seating charts
  • Create tent cards
  • Assist in preparing and proofreading syllabi, presentations, and exams 
  • Create and maintain participation, attendance, and grade tracking in Excel
  • Canvas
    • Maintain sites (uploading files, videos, assignments, and other course content)
    • Create groups
    • Create assignments and quizzes
    • Add accommodation times on quizzes
    • Download and print assignments/quizzes 
    • Download rosters
    • Export gradebook
    • Enter and upload grades
    • Send messages to students
    • Post discussions
    • Set up office hours
    • Maizey integration
  • Placing materials (books, articles, etc.) on reserve at the library
  • Take scantrons to the UM Registrar’s Office for processing
  • Arrange travel accommodations for class guest speakers

Administrative

  • Microsoft and Google Suite
    • Creating, adjusting, and sharing documents using
      • Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
      • Google:  Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms
  • Order supplies for the business hubs
  • Order business cards
  • Make conference room reservations
  • Assist with classroom reservations (working with Admins, Ross RO, and/or Ross Operations)
  • Update faculty profiles in iMpact
  • Assist faculty with mailings / shipments
  • Assist with Faculty Support and Ross events 
  • Create polls (Doodle Poll, When is Good, Straw Poll)
  • Set up meetings via Zoom, along with coordinated calendar invites
  • Assist faculty with travel arrangements
  • Assist in the onboarding and offboarding of faculty
  • Work with faculty PhD Advisors to manage the administrative tasks related to PhD Recruiting:
    • Coordinate travel and hosting arrangements; assist in creating a visiting schedule

Financial Resources

  • Process expense reports (P-Card, CTP, and out-of-pocket)

Research

  • Proofread manuscripts, correspondence, and other materials
  • Format citations and footnotes in publications
  • Internet searches (journals, articles, etc.)
